Penang cuisine consistently ranks among the best in the world. Although street food is widely celebrated worldwide, not many people are aware that the Penang's food scene also includes a variety of curries.

To showcase the diverse range of curries available in the state, the Mini Curry Festival was launched at KOMTAR Walk.

A family-focused green and smart state is one of the aims of Penang2030, says Komtar Assembyman Teh Lai Heng, who said the Mini Curry Festival at KOMTAR Walk is an idea that ties in with Penang2030 Vision "A state that is both green and smart based on the needs of its citizens." 

Aside from that, George Town City Centre or GTCC has brought life back to KOMTAR. 

In order to improve the efficiency and economy of businesses in the area, GTCC intends to coordinate and cooperate with shopping centres and tourist attraction operators, he said.

The Mini Curry Festival will take place at Komtar Walk from 20th to 28th August 2022.
