Penang is set to welcome over 500 delegates from Southeast Asia and beyond for the 23rd ASEAN+ Age Group Chess Championships 2025, marking another milestone in the state’s growing reputation as a hub for international events.
During the official press conference, Mr. Ashwin from the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) expressed pride in hosting the prestigious tournament, which unites youth and senior chess players from across the region.
