PENANG, 8 October 2024 – The Penang International Travel Exchange (PITE) has returned for its 7th edition, reaffirming Penang’s position as one of Asia Pacific’s leading destinations for business events and tourism.

Organised by Ace Conferences and supported by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), PITE 2024 runs from 8–10 October, bringing together over 40 exhibitors from across Malaysia and more than 100 international buyers representing 14 countries, including India, China, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The three-day programme is designed to facilitate business-to-business engagement through pre-scheduled appointments and one-on-one meetings, offering exhibitors valuable opportunities to connect with global travel trade professionals. Beyond formal sessions, PITE also emphasises industry networking, enabling participants to exchange ideas and explore collaborations in both structured and informal settings.

To further showcase Penang’s appeal, international buyers will embark on a familiarisation tour featuring some of the state’s most iconic attractions, including Penang Hill, The Habitat, Entopia Butterfly Farm, Tropical Spice Garden, and a traditional Batik craft workshop. The curated tour highlights Penang’s blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and unique visitor experiences.
