Asia Venue Alliance (AVA) Sets the Stage for a New Era in Business Events Venues Across Asia

Leading convention centers in the Asian region have joined forces to establish the Asia Venue Alliance (AVA), a revolutionary collaboration committed to enhancing event hosting standards and elevating seamless Business Events (BE) experiences.
The founding members, including the Ariyana Convention Centre Danang from Vietnam, Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center from Indonesia, International Convention Centre Tainan from Taiwan, Borneo Convention Centre Kuching from Sarawak, Malaysia, and Setia SPICE Convention Centre from Malaysia, officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) during BE Penang on December 7, 2023.
Mr. Francis Teo, Chairman of Asia Venue Alliance, expressed, "I am proud to be one of the first co-founders of this alliance and hope that with this alliance, events from all over the
world will flock to Asia. Our collective efforts have borne fruit, and Asia is now well-positioned to be a global hub for world-class business events." This historic occasion signifies the beginning of a new era in the business event industry across Asia, supported by the collective expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence of the founding members.
Mr. Eric van Piggelen, CEO of BCCK, expressed enthusiasm for this significant milestone, stating,
"We are thrilled to be part of this alliance, which unites some of the finest convention centres in Asia. Together, we will establish new standards for event excellence and position the Asian region as the go-to destination for world-class conventions and gatherings."

The primary objectives of this Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) are to nurture strategic alliances for driving industry growth in Asia by leveraging the strength of member organisations, to establish a unified regional brand to enhance recognition in the global business event sector and promote collaboration among member destinations by sharing business leads, industry knowledge, event experience, and technical skills.
