Global wellness and lifestyle leader QNET has officially launched its flagship V-Malaysia 2025 convention at the Penang SPICE Convention Centre, drawing over 8,000 participants from more than 30 countries. The five-day event, running from 21 to 25 June, reinforces Penang’s position as a world-class destination for international business events.
Now in its 13th consecutive year in Penang, the convention is the result of a strategic collaboration between QNET, long-time event partner V Global Management (The V), Tourism Malaysia, the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), and the Penang Convention and Exhibition Bureau (PCEB). V-Malaysia has become a premier platform for global networking, entrepreneurial development, and cross-cultural engagement.
YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE), highlighted the convention’s economic significance:
“This is timely, as Malaysia’s leadership of the 46th ASEAN Summit is already elevating regional attention. In 2024, Penang’s Business Events sector generated RM1.29 billion in economic impact — up from RM1.03 billion in 2023. QNET’s continued trust in Penang directly contributes to job creation and tourism revenue while enhancing our global appeal.”
QNET’s Chief Marketing Officer, Trevor Kuna, praised Penang’s infrastructure and collaborative environment, noting the vital support from Tourism Malaysia and PCEB in consistently delivering a large-scale global event.
“Penang offers a winning combination of infrastructure, cultural vibrancy, and strategic backing. The support from our government partners and our collaboration with The V enables us to bring V-Malaysia to life at an exceptional standard year after year,” he said.
MyCEB, under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, plays a central role in positioning Malaysia as a key player in the international MICE market. In 2023 alone, MyCEB supported 248 business events, attracting more than 180,700 international delegates and generating an estimated RM2.8 billion in economic impact. Their involvement in V-Malaysia 2025 included coordination across government levels and destination marketing efforts, further elevating Penang’s MICE credentials.
Tourism Malaysia’s logistical support and incentive programmes also played a critical role in ensuring the event’s success, demonstrating the government’s commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s global presence in the Business Events sector.
QNET also used the convention platform to preview key innovations in wellness, including Harmonia, a new bio-signaling patch, and QWIK, a line of oral health and nutrition strips.
As V-Malaysia 2025 unfolds throughout the week, it stands as a strong testament to the power of strategic partnerships in advancing Malaysia’s MICE industry and economic development.
