IPOH:

The annual Fruit, Flower and Food Fiesta 2020 (FAMA FEST 2020) that started off in 2017 is back and will take place on February 27 at Alamanda Square, Parit Buntar from 10am to 10pm.

State Perak Public Infrastructure, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Plantation Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Yunus Jamahri said the concept of FAMA FEST @ Parit Buntar involved three states that were compatible.

"The program has received approval from Kedah and Penang Fama to be implemented involving three states," he told media at RTM Perak today.

According to him, the aim of FAMA FEST is to create market opportunities for target groups such as entrepreneurs, farmers, wholesalers, exporters and retailers in the marketing of agricultural products; expanding the Local Agribusiness Product market; increase entrepreneurs' income through direct sales to consumers and help entrepreneurs promote their products to the market.

Meanwhile, FAMA State Director Anuar Mohamed said during the FAMA FEST, the bazaar of the people offered food items such as chicken, fruits and so on at 50 per cent lower than the market price.

“We hope the people living around Parit Buntar, Bandar Baru and Nibong Tebal are the three neighboring states to get cheaper food items.

"The chicken will be supplied by NAFAS for less than RM10 and we will also have 'Happy Hour' at some time and many more interesting offers," he said.

Not only that, the exciting part of FAMA FEST is the provision of check counters and summonses with a 50 percent discount on PDRM summons on February 29 and March 1 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.

There are also JPJ mobile counters and free inspections for motorcycles where Roadtax expires for more than 1 year by the Perak JPJ and many other interesting offers.
