KUALA TERENGGANU:

In order to avoid the spread of COVID-19, the Terengganu government temporarily closed Kampung Budaya Terengganu (KBT).

A statement from the State Department of Tourism has announced that a close will be enforced from Oct 5 to October 31, following the advice of the National Security Council (MKN) and the Ministry of Health ( MOH).

"The closure order covers operations, programmes, and activities except for essential service staff like security and maintenance subject to approval by the state Tourism Department director," the statement added.

On 3 September KBT opened to the public at Kompleks Muzium Negeri and followed the regular SOPs for staff and tourists.

KBT was a new living museum attraction where tourists could experience the cultural heritage of Terengganu.
