MakeMyTrip, a popular travel company based in India, is entering the NFT market. The business has developed a new NFT collection to celebrate some of India's most renowned tourist destinations. AI Bots, an online community of digital artists, created the NFTS. The landscapes of Goa, Ladakh, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Kerala, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are included in the first batch of these artworks.

The NFTs were created with the help of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), a program that requires the author to upload many photos and train an AI algorithm to produce a final artwork or versions of it. The NFTs start at Rs 14,999 and can be found at www.makemytrip.com/nft.html (which redirects to Nguyen, an NFT marketplace). Each artwork in the collection comes with 25 tokens, which are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. On March 9, the NFTs went on sale. "We're giving travel aficionados a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own this beauty in the digital realm," said Sunil Suresh, MakeMyTrip's Chief Marketing Officer. MakeMyTrip's NFTs are these transforming clips that represent the culture and tourism of the respective state or territory.

Last month, the world's largest NFT marketplace, OpenSea, announced that it had been hacked and that 32 users had lost NFTs worth $1.7 million. The hack occurred shortly after OpenSea announced a new smart contract upgrade and a one-week deadline for dormant NFTs to be removed from the platform.
