Kuala Lumpur: :

The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) is hosting the first ever MATTA Fair Cuti - Cuti Malaysia on 4 – 5 April 2020 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

Over 50 travel agents will be offering “special interest” packages on local destinations to promote domestic tourism during the inaugural MATTA Fair Cuti-Cuti Malaysia in order to generate more traction on Visit Malaysia 2020 (VM2020) campaign efforts.

MATTA Honorary Secretary General Nigel Wong says “Due to the current slowdown in the international travel, many holidaymakers are looking at local destinations. This is a smart move as numerous tourism service providers are offering bargain prices and rates to fill up seats and rooms.”

“The exhibitors who have been invited to participate in the Fair consist of MATTA members and industry players such as travel agencies, tour operators, hoteliers, theme parks and related service providers - who will be promoting attractive packages to various destinations in Malaysia.”

“We are also delighted that the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) is roping in their members to join in MATTA Fair Cuti-Cuti Malaysia to promote their properties and facilities.”

“Although many hotels regularly participate in the biannual MATTA Fairs, their numbers will be much greater at MATTA Fair Cuti-Cuti Malaysia. The promotional room rates offered will make hotel stay much more affordable and encourage guests to stay longer and enjoy a complete rest for those who are tired, or prolonged fun for those active.”

MATTA urges consumers to grab this opportunity to plan and book their domestic holidays and enjoy what Malaysia has to offer. We trust that the Fair will increase domestic visits which will in turn stimulate the growth of the domestic tourism industry.

MATTA Fair Cuti-Cuti Malaysia is open from 10am to 9pm and admission is free.
