MELAKA:

The government of Melaka is hopeful that interdistrict travel has been permitted to revive their tourism sector since yesterday.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali has stated that the introduction of the Move Control Order (MCO) aimed at curbing the spread of the Cov-19 system, which has not permitted interstate and inter-district travel, affected the tourism industry of the State.

He now said that it was allowed to pass the district, people in the state could travel to districts and this would help reinforce the tourism industry.

“This will stimulate the economy and restore the state’s tourism industry. However, my advice is for the people to continue to abide by the standard operating procedures (SOP) when they go to places in the state,’’ he told.

Sulaiman also expressed his hope that the recent Melakan Visit 3.0 campaign would stimulate the tourism sector in the state while simultaneously boosting the economy of the people.
