MMEA advise postponing all the sea activity

 Given the current rough sea conditions, Kelantan Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has recommended that all activity on the sea and along the beach in the country should be postponed.

Director Capt Muhd Nur Siam Asmawie Yaacob said in a statement that waves have reached up to five meters based on surveillance carried out around the Exclusive Economic Zone.

He said that the MMEA was always ready to provide help and people with emergencies could contact 09-5717345 or 999 the Eastern Region's maritime operations center 24h.

Muhd Nur Syam Asmawie was commenting on a Malaysian Department of Meteorological Weather warning that in the water off Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and Eastern Johor, strong northeast winds of 50-60 km / h with waves of up to 4.5 m were expected later.
