THAILAND:

In recent years, Thailand has emerged as a global hub for medical tourism, attracting a significant influx of international patients seeking high-quality healthcare services combined with the allure of picturesque landscapes and cultural experiences. This Southeast Asian nation has positioned itself as a premier destination for medical treatment, offering world-class facilities, skilled medical professionals, and competitive pricing.

In the last few weeks, the Medical Tourism Association (MTA) met with some of the key players in Thailand’s healthcare tourism landscape, establishing strategic relationships that would shift the paradigm of inbound medical and wellness travel in Thailand.

CEO and President of MTA, Jonathan Edelheit met with executives and top leaders of more than 32 of the largest healthcare and wellness institutions in the country, with new strategies and plans to consolidate Thailand’s brand and position as a global destination for medical travel. The strategic collaboration leverages Thailand’s unique market offerings to change the game for global medical travel.

This comes as hospitals and medical tourism businesses across the country are acquiring crucial resources and tools, including the Global Healthcare Accreditation (GHA) for Medical Travel and other Certifications offered by GHA, to reposition them in the market.
