PERLIS:

The Government of Perlis will interact effectively with the Thai border authorities in various areas, particularly border security issues, concerning issues involving common interests.

The Chairperson of the Committee on State Islamic Religious Affairs, Welfare, Disaster Relief and Border Relations Rozai Rais, said that meetings will be held when the border is fully opened between Malaysia and Thailand.

“With the current developments in the border area now, it is appropriate for the discussions to be held immediately to reach a consensus for the common good,” he said.

Rozaini claimed that subsequent discussions would also cover aspects of the bilateral economy, commerce, tourism, culture and sport.
