PM Muhyiddin unveils TracAPM Digital System

Prime Minister Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin bin Haji Muhammad Yassin welcomed the “public-private-partnership” between the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (Angkatan Pertahanan Malaysia, “APM”) and Nexgram Holdings Berhad (“Nexgram”) in launching the TracAPM Digital System on Wednesday (March 24). He said this is welcomed at a time when we are rebuilding the nation’s economy and social wellbeing. The Prime Minister said this high technology initiative is in line with the government’s MyDigital initiative launched recently.

“TracAPM Digital System has been tested in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (“KLIA”) and will be used to digitally to process travellers at the KLIA entry point and can also be used to verify Vaccine Passports to be issued by Malaysia and other countries.”

“The government highly appreciates this CSR initiative which shows the goodwill and readiness of the private sector in supporting the government in facing the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am sure this digital technology will be of great assistance to the APM front-liners in safeguarding our national borders.

The TracAPM Digital System comes with the “APM Trac and Trace”, “APM Geofencing” and “APM Watch”, connected in real time to Tracvirus E-Cert International Protocol (“Tracvirus”). The “APM Trac and Trace” includes Queue Management System to facilitate and ease traffic for health testings and quarantine processes. It is also ready to facilitate registration biometrics and facial recognitions technology.

“APM Geofencing” comes with a user-approved GPS and IP-Ping technology for real- time social care. The “APM Watch” AI data science system is ready for APM’s future deployment of resources including man power and high-tech facilities such as drone and satellite surveillance for precision outbreak responses.

Travellers coming to Malaysia can register for the “SafeTravelPass” online athttps://safetravelpass.tracvirus.com.my. This digital pass can be verified by the TracAPM system at all airports and borders including the KLIA upon arrival. TracAPM officers are right on the first desk at all arrivals, and is connected live to Tracvirus which can unify, read and verify the digital health certificates to facilitate safe, fast, and convenient travel experience.

The SafeTravelPass App contains all the traveller details necessary for safe and efficient travel. It informs and records travellers on what tests, vaccines, and other measures they require prior to travel, details on where they can get tested, and, most importantly, the ability to share their tests and vaccination results in a digitally authentic and verifiable protocol. Traveller privacy and personal data are protected under a secured system synonymous to blockchain technology and can be localised in each country.

Government agencies and private merchants can integrate their processes and services to the TracAPM Digital System, offering travellers International standard of a digital-tech one-stop travel experience.

APM will implement and integrate the TracAPM Digital System with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Immigration Department Malaysia, the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) and other relevant agencies to ensure secure and safe travel in and out of Malaysia.
