Tourism Malaysia will also launch a Malaysian promotional programme in Medan on Thursday in collaboration with Malaysia Airlines.

The mission, led by Deputy Secretary General (Culture) of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Mohd Yusri Mohd Yusoff, also visited the Blibli headquarters in Central Jakarta.

Mohd Yusri hoped that this programme would become a platform for industry players to jointly rejuvenate the tourism industry of both countries and increase the number of tourists.

As of July this year, Malaysia received 435,156 Indonesian tourists since the reopening of the borders on April 1.
